Who We Are

Founded in 1996, The Traditional Martial Arts Society preserves the original combat techniques of the Japanese Samurai used since feudal Japan. Unarmed and weapon techniques are all taught, based on a common set of movement principles.

Through the instruction in these arts, the Traditional Martial Arts Society preserves a historical martial arts legacy, and prepares individuals to effectively deal with dangerous situations. These arts have not been altered for sporting competition, nor have they been altered to provide a spiritual path. They are authentic martial arts, rarely found elsewhere.

The owners and chief instructors each have more than 25 years of progressive training in these arts. Along with the assistant instructors, the Sensei of the Traditional Martial Arts Society maintain a commitment to the highest standards in martial arts instruction.
